Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 4:18
π Good morning!
Another day, another opportunity to delve into the Word and let it transform our lives. Today's scripture invites us to shift our perspective from the temporal to the eternal.
π Verse of the Day
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
Reflection:
Life's distractions often lead us to focus on the material world, the "seen." Yet, the Bible urges us to set our sights higher, on the "unseen"β the eternal promises of God. When facing trials, financial stress, or health concerns, it's easy to become consumed by our present circumstances. But today's verse reminds us to shift our gaze towards the eternal kingdom that awaits us.
By focusing on the eternal, we gain a resilience that withstands life's transitory hardships. We don't ignore or diminish our current challenges; instead, we gain the perspective to navigate them with grace, knowing that they are not the final word on our lives.
Ask Yourself: Where is my focus today? Is it on the temporary or the eternal?
π Prayer of the Day
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this day and your unfailing love. As I navigate the ups and downs of life, help me to focus on what truly mattersβYour eternal kingdom. Enable me to live not just for the moment but for eternity, aligning my thoughts, actions, and desires with Your eternal promises. Let me not be swayed by the fleeting, but stay anchored in what lasts forever.
In the matchless name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
π Quote of the Day
"Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading."
β Oswald Chambers
π΅ Worship Song of the Day
"Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" by Helen H. Lemmel
This hymn is a beautiful meditation on today's theme. As the song suggests, turning our eyes upon Jesus allows us to find solace and strength, and it urges us to look full in His wonderful face, letting the things of earth grow dim in the light of His glory and grace.
