James 1:17 says, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

This verse reminds us that all good things come from God. It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and focus on the things we don't have or the difficulties we face, but this verse reminds us to look up and remember that God is the source of all good things.

God is the Father of the heavenly lights, which means that He is the source of all light and truth. He doesn't change like shifting shadows, but is constant and dependable. We can trust that He will always be there for us and provide for us in ways that are good and perfect.

So the next time you're feeling down or struggling with something, take a moment to meditate on this verse and remember that God is the source of all good things. Trust in Him and have faith that He will provide for you in His perfect way and in His perfect timing.

Prayer of the Day

Dear Lord,

As I start this new day, I thank you for the gift of life and the opportunity to serve you. Help me to remember that every moment is a chance to choose love, joy, and peace, and to let go of worry and fear.

I pray for the strength to follow your will and the courage to stand up for what is right, even when it is difficult. Help me to be a blessing to others, and to seek your kingdom first in all that I do.

Thank you for your love and your presence in my life. I pray for your guidance and protection throughout this day, and for the wisdom to make choices that honor you.

In your holy name I pray, Amen.
