Verse of the Day
As we go through life, it can be easy to get caught up in our troubles and worries. We may feel anxious, uncertain, or even fearful at times. But in John 14:1, Jesus reminds us not to let our hearts be troubled. He reminds us to believe in Him and to trust in His love and care for us.
When we believe in Jesus, we can find peace and hope in the midst of any circumstance. We can have confidence that He is with us, leading us and guiding us through life's challenges. We can rest in the knowledge that He has overcome the world and holds the power to bring about good in our lives.
So let us hold fast to our faith in Jesus, and let it be a source of strength and comfort in times of trouble. Let us believe in Him and trust in His love and care for us, knowing that He is always with us and will never forsake us.
Prayer of the Day
Dear God,
As we wake up on this Christmas Eve, we thank you for the many blessings you have given us. We are grateful for the love and joy that fills our hearts, and for the hope and peace that come from knowing you.
As we prepare to celebrate the birth of your son, Jesus, we ask that you would guide our hearts and minds to focus on the true meaning of this holy day. Help us to remember that Jesus came to earth as a humble servant, to show us your love and to redeem us from our sin.
We pray that this Christmas would be a time of renewal and refreshment for us, as we take time to rest and spend time with loved ones. May we find joy in the simple things and be grateful for all that you have provided.
We also lift up in prayer those who may be struggling or feeling alone on this holiday. Please bring comfort and hope to their hearts, and use us to be a blessing to others.
We trust in your love and care for us, Lord, and ask that you would bless our day and all that we do. May your peace and joy fill our hearts and homes, as we celebrate the birth of your son.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
