“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”

John 5:24

In John 5:24, Jesus presents us with a radical shift in perspective. His words, "whoever hears my word and believes... has crossed over from death to life," aren't just about the afterlife; they're about a transformation that begins right now. This isn't just about salvation in the distant future; it's about a present and active change in how we live, perceive, and interact with the world around us.

What does it mean to live as someone who has crossed over from death to life? It's more than just a sense of security about where we'll go when our time on earth ends. Lord God,

As this new day unfolds, my thoughts turn to the incredible promise You've given us in Your Word. The truth that, through faith in You, we step into a life that's not just for the hereafter, but starts right now, is both inspiring and humbling.

Help me, Lord, to truly live in the light of this promise. Guide me to make choices and take actions that reflect this new life You've granted me. May I be an example of Your love and grace to those I encounter today, showing them the transformative power of faith in You.
