Verse of the Day: John 8:12
๐ Good morning, friends!
Let's start our day in the warm embrace of God's word. Today, we're focusing on John 8:12, a powerful proclamation from Jesus Himself.
Verse of the Day
"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'"
In our journey through life, there are times when we find ourselves walking in darkness, unsure of the path before us. It can be daunting, frightening even, as we navigate these challenging phases. But we have this comforting assurance: Jesus, the light of the world, is with us. When we choose to follow Him, we no longer walk in darkness. We walk in His light, the light that bestows life and vanquishes all shadow of fear.
Jesus' light illuminates our path, showing us the way to love, to forgiveness, to truth. His light also exposes the hidden corners of our lives that need His healing and redemption. But it's not a light that condemnsโit's a light that liberates and restores.
Today, if you feel like you're in a dark place, remember this: the Light is just a prayer away. Reach out to Jesus, choose to follow Him, and let His radiant love and truth brighten your path.
Prayer of the Day
Dear Lord, Jesus,
Thank You for being the Light of the world. In moments of darkness, confusion, and fear, I turn to You. Guide my steps, Lord. Let me walk in Your light, a path that leads to love, truth, and eternal life. When the shadows loom, remind me that Your light overcomes all darkness. I choose to follow You, now and always.
In Your holy name, I pray, Amen.
Quote of the Day
"Just as the sun can never stop spreading its light, letting its light shine, so has Jesus come into the world as light, and even though he has ascended, he is still lumen mundi, the light of the world."
โ Pope Benedict XVI
