Verse of the Day
"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."
The verse from Matthew 7:12 is often referred to as the "Golden Rule." This rule is as simple as it is profound: treat others the way you would like to be treated.
Jesus asks us to take our own desires for respect, kindness, and fairness, and apply them in our dealings with others. It's about empathy and understanding - stepping into another's shoes and acting towards them as we would want them to act towards us.
In its essence, this verse is a call to love our neighbors as ourselves, a fundamental principle that unites all of Christ's teachings. By following this rule, we reflect the love and grace of God in our lives.
Prayer of the Day
Dear Lord,
Thank You for Your guidance on how to treat others. Remind me each day to show the same kindness and respect to others that I hope to receive.
Help me Lord, to be patient and understanding, and to always choose kindness. Let my actions mirror Your love and mercy.
In my interactions today and always, grant me the grace to uplift others and reflect Your goodness in all I do.
In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
