Verse of the Day

Proverbs 18:21 states, "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." This verse reminds us of the power of our words. The tongue has the ability to bring life or death. It can be used to build others up or tear them down.

It's important to be mindful of the words we speak, as they have the power to shape the world around us. When we speak words of love, encouragement, and positivity, we have the ability to bring life and joy to those around us. On the other hand, if we speak words of negativity and criticism, we can bring death and destruction.

This verse also reminds us that we will ultimately reap what we sow. If we love to speak words of life, we will experience the fruit of that love. But if we indulge in speaking words of death, we will also experience the consequences of that choice.

As believers in Christ, we are called to speak words of life and to be a light in the world. May we strive to use our words to bring hope and encouragement to those around us, and may we remember the power of the tongue to shape our world.

β€œThe gospel is the good news that the everlasting and ever-increasing joy of the never-boring, ever-satisfying Christ is ours freely and eternally by faith in the sin-forgiving death and hope-giving resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
