📖 Verse of the Day

“Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

Reflection

It was a defining moment. The crowds were leaving—disillusioned by teachings that challenged their comfort. Those who once ran to Jesus for miracles now turned away, their expectations unmet. And in that holy hush, Jesus looked at the Twelve and asked a question that still echoes in every heart: "Do you want to leave too?"

Peter's answer wasn't polished—it was piercing: "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life."

This wasn't blind allegiance. Peter had his doubts, too. But he had seen enough—storms stilled with a word, broken lives mended with a touch, truth spoken with power that stirred eternity. He didn't understand everything, but he had found the One worth trusting with everything.

"To whom shall we go?" isn't a question of despair—it's a declaration of devotion. Once you've tasted living water, nothing else satisfies. Once you've heard the voice that awakens your soul, all others fade. The deepest worship may simply be this: staying when it would be easier to walk away.

Ask Yourself

  • Have you ever felt tempted to walk away when Jesus’ words felt difficult? What held you back?

  • What personal experience reminds you that Jesus truly has the words of eternal life?

🙏 Prayer of the Day

Dear Lord,

When the path feels unclear and the crowds grow quiet, where else could I go? You alone have the words of eternal life. You've calmed my storms and awakened my heart with truth. In those moments when others walk away, anchor me in Your presence.

Help me stay—not out of duty, but devotion. Let my worship be found in choosing You again and again, not because it's easy, but because nothing else compares to You. You are my only hope.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
