📖 Verse of the Day
“And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.”
Reflection
Isn't it beautiful how Jesus shifts our perspective? Imagine the disciples, caught up in their own ambitions, dreaming of power and recognition in His kingdom. But Jesus, with His gentle wisdom, shifts the focus completely. He calls a child—small, unnoticed—to stand among them.
In their culture, children had no influence or status. Yet Jesus says, “Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” He wasn’t just talking about children; He was inviting us to see the overlooked, the vulnerable, the ones who can’t repay us, as reflections of Him. True greatness, He shows, isn’t about being first or seen—it’s about humility, love, and lifting others up.
Think about that. Every time we take the time to truly see someone the world has forgotten, every time we value someone who has nothing to give back, we’re not just being kind—we’re encountering Jesus. It’s as though He’s saying, “If you want to find Me, look where others don’t.”
Today, let’s redefine greatness through His eyes. It’s not about climbing higher but stooping lower to lift others up. And in those simple acts of love and welcome, we might just catch a glimpse of heaven, right here on earth.
Ask yourself
How might my perspective change if I saw serving others as welcoming Jesus Himself?
Where is God calling me to show His welcome to those who might feel overlooked?
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Loving Father,
Open my heart, not just my eyes, to see those You bring into my life today. When I'm caught up in my own ambitions, jolt me awake to remember that true greatness, in Your kingdom, is found in bending low to serve.
Thank You for the incredible privilege of welcoming You as I welcome others. Help me to love like You, to value what You value, and to make room in my heart for the "little ones" the world might overlook.
Let every act of welcome, every gesture of kindness, become a reflection of Your boundless heart.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
🖋 Quote of the Day
"The King of love my shepherd is, Whose goodness faileth never; I nothing lack if I am his, And he is mine forever."

Together With Prison Fellowship
Christmas can be a very painful time of year for a prisoner’s child. They might see other families celebrating together and miss their mom or dad even more than usual. They might even wonder if their mom or dad in prison still thinks about them.
That’s why Prison Fellowship Angel Tree was first created—to connect families, deliver Christmas gifts, and share the Good News of the Savior’s birth at this special time of year.
This year, Prison Fellowship is expecting hundreds of thousands of children to be signed up for Angel Tree by their parent in prison.
With Christmas just two weeks away, would you consider giving to bless a prisoner’s child with an Angel Tree Christmas? Every $30 will help deliver a Christmas present, a personal message of love from their incarcerated parent, and the Gospel to one child.
